A few photos of some BISJ poles that were carved by 2 West Papuans at the World music festival in Adelaide called WOMADELAIDE. Australia West Papua Association Adelaide (South Australia) had a stall over many years at the festival that had 20,000 people attend and the live carving of the wooden pieces attracted a lot of interest and attention. One of the carvers Stefanus Akinmore, a man from the Asmat area carved the first piece followed a couple of years later by another piece from Alfons Adikan. Unfortunately Stefanus passed away a couple of years ago from cancer.
